Just to remind you, the purpose of WIN THIS WAR is to lead young men to embrace sexual purity as an essential part of their daily lives. This project began in the heart of Fred Stoeker, co-author of EVERY MAN'S BATTLE and many other books focusing on sexual purity. Fred's new book, TACTICS, was released by Waterbrook Press at the end of September 2006 and the principles outlined in this book became the blueprint for the WIN THIS WAR CD.

A Message from Fred Stoeker

Last weekend, I taught seven sessions on purity to three hundred fathers and sons during the Harness the River Intergenerational Purity Conference in Edmonton, Alberta. Shannon Ethridge, author of Every Young Woman's Battle, did the same with their wives and sisters at another venue, and the impact for the Lord was stunning. During this conference, Lee Spoken appeared live and sang the two songs he performs on the new Win This War music CD project, and I was reminded again how much the music on Win This War dove-tails with the spoken and written messages of my ministry.
Even more awesome is the way God has taken over the project. For instance, Grammy-Award winning record-producer Alex Orozco of Costa Rica has agreed to take our songs and remove the vocals, add some Latin musical styling, and is choosing the top vocalists in Latin America to lay down new vocals so that we can put out Win This War in Central and South America. Word Distribution has already agreed to be the distributor of that Spanish version here in North America and market it to the burgeoning Hispanic-America market—they are the best in America at this, I understand. The Spanish version of the CD will focus on soccer instead of the football, and the Spanish music CD will come out at about the same time as the Spanish book version of Tactics.
We also have a deal working to do the same thing in Portuguese in Brazil and Portugal and we've hired a well-known distributor to take the English version globally, especially to New Zealand, Australia and to Great Britain.
Join me in praising God for His grace in providing the many teammates He's provided for this project, with little effort from me at all. I hope many more will join us in this wonderful work as we stand for sexual purity around the globe. We are hoping and praying for a lot of airtime for radio and TV interviews, so that many will hear about the project and will help those around them to stand purely.

Wow! This is getting very exciting. We've had some very cool things happen over the last month. I know that God is already using Win This War to impact men, young and old. I saw it this past weekend when I had the privilege of, for the first time in person, listening to Fred Stoeker deliver his passionate message on the need for sexual purity. Friday night and all day Saturday I sat with my oldest son and some of my friends and had it once again reinforced that there should be not even a hint of sexual immorality in our lives. I love the way Fred just speaks from his heart - just tells it like it was - and like it is now. God's plan for our lives is SO much better than the false one we create for ourselves, even as Christians.
We had some amazing news that a radio station in Colorado is playing our #7 track, God Of All Mercy, sung by Michael O'Brien. Michael totally sings this one from his heart. It is so moving! Last night my wife and I read Michael and Heidi's story, as told by Heidi. What a moving testimony of God's mercy, grace and strength showered on his children! You can read it at www.michaelo.org.
