The purpose of WIN THIS WAR is to lead young men to embrace sexual purity as an essential part of their daily lives. This project began in the heart of Fred Stoeker, co-author of EVERY MAN'S BATTLE and many other books focusing on sexual purity. Fred's new book, TACTICS, was released by Waterbrook Press at the end of September of this year and the principles outlined in this book became the blueprint for the WIN THIS WAR CD.

A Message from FRED STOEKER

I'm extremely excited about the release of Win This War! Two weeks ago, an agent of an artist I know asked why this CD means so much to me. I told him, "It is because I can reach another level of a guy's soul with the music. The books reach his logic and intellect...the music reaches his emotions and the other half of his brain with that same message of purity."
He exclaimed, "I get it! If you can reach his emotions, it'll hit his heart and mind more completely and his mind will be more easily transformed!"
I couldn't have said it better myself, I thought. Earlier this week, another guy who is high on this project told me, "I put the rough cut of Win This War into my car player two weeks ago and I find I just can't take it back out of the slot. Tracks 7 and 12 are incredible and just leave me flattened by their passion. The message of purity on this CD just keeps hitting me over and over again and grinds the truth into my heart every day. I just can't seem to stop listening to it. I need that grinding!"
I know what God intended when He gave me this idea. It is already working exactly the way He planned it, and Win This War hasn't even been released yet. Now you can understand why I'm excited.

I'll tell you why I'm excited about seeing this project come together. Well, there are a number of reasons, but one of the primary ones is that I know it will have an impact on the lives of young men in my world, including my two sons. My two sons have lots of guy friends, many of whom attend great Christian churches. But like all men, they are being assaulted with entertainment and media saturated with sexually charged words and images. They are in a battle and they need relationships and resources that will help them fight this battle head on. WIN THIS WAR CD, along with Fred's book TACTICS, as well as some of the other great resources we are bringing to this project, are going to help these young men, as long as we who are parents and youth workers are willing to utilize them.

PROJECT UPDATE

WIN THIS WAR is almost done. The music tracks are all down, and most of the vocals have been recorded. There are a few songs to go, then we're ready to roll with it. At this point we are planning an April '07 release.
One thing we're also seriously considering is a music video contest. We would select one of the songs off the album and run a contest for young people to make a music video out of it. There would be a valuable prize for the winner, and potentially, it could be aired on television. If you have any thoughts on this, please contact us. Below is the final song list:

TRUTH MEDIA Joins the Team

We are very excited about a recent partnership that has been solidified. Fred Stoeker and Karen Schenk (of TruthMedia Internet Group) have been in discussions for some time - I've been hinting about an online ministry side to this project. Well, this is it.
