Michael Weaver, founder and lead singer of Big Daddy Weave, is Chuck Dennie's good friend and he records with the Fervent Records label, like By the Tree. As producer, Chuck felt that Michael's voice would be perfect for When Love Takes You In, the last cut on Win This War.
Once Michael had left the studio after laying down his vocals, Chuck called and told me that the Spirit was very evident in the studio as Michael sang. When Chuck sent me the recording a few days later, my very first thought was, "Man, I have got to get Michael onto a second song on this project. His heart is so real, and he must really believe in this message." While I wasn't able to do so because of schedules and related issues, I sure am glad I got him for this one!
All that being said, I suppose the most amazing things about Michael must show up outside the studio, because I've never heard anyone say anything but fine things about him and his heart for ministry. I look forward to meeting Michael face-to-face one day...he's got to be someone special to know!
