Young, aspiring filmmakers (ages 13-19) are being challenged to enter to WIN CASH ($1,000 USD) or a TRIP TO ICVM'S CATALYST CONFERENCE (Film Conference) in July 2008. If you don't win 'the big one', you can win CASH PRIZES for placing in the top five. Details (MS Word document)


WHAT IN THE WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS IS THIS ALL ABOUT?

Sexual Purity. Yup, that's what this is about. We've produced a CD called WIN THIS WAR and it's all about fighting for sexual purity in your life and the lives of your friends. Your job is to take the title song of the album and make a music video.


WHO ARE THE CREATORS OF THE SCRIMMAGE?

THE SCRIMMAGE is the vision of author/speaker Fred Stoeker. Stoeker co-authored Every Man's Battle and a bunch of other books helping guys to live in sexual purity before God and their families. Chuck Dennie (past lead singer for By The Tree) is the producer of the album, WIN THIS WAR. Chuck wrote and sings a few of the songs on the album, including the title song on which this contest is based. Other artists include Matthew West, downhere, Mike Weaver (Big Daddy Weave), Michael O'Brien, By The Tree, and Lee Spoken. Crown Video is the distributor of the CD and the people behind THE SCRIMMAGE.


HOW DOES THE SCRIMMAGE WORK?

Simple. Just sign up. You pay $20 (USD) as an entry fee (for that you are entered, plus we'll send you a complimentary copy of the WIN THIS WAR CD and a copy of Fred Stoeker's new book, TACTICS (with shipping, that's about a $30 value!). Once you've signed up and paid, we will email you an MP3 version of the song, WIN THIS WAR. You then go to town on creating a music video with the song being the audio portion of the video. Then you post it on YouTube.com and we judge the entries. The best entries win money, fame, or a ticket to a film conference and maybe even a distribution deal. Details


WHAT'S THE CATCH?

Well there's really no catch, but, there are some basic requirements. On top of that, there's a long list of rules that you need to follow in order to qualify to win. Basically, you need to be no younger than 13 and no older than 19. You have to use the song WIN THIS WAR. You can title your music video whatever you want. This project has to do with the topic of sexual temptation and sexual purity. The idea is to promote sexual purity. We will not accept entries that we deem, at our discretion, to be inappropriate in their presentation. You will need to submit your entry by August 15, 2007. The winners will be chosen August 30, 2007. The film conference takes place July 2008 in Florida (www.icvm.com). Any questions can be asked to TheScrimmage@WinThisWarCD.com.


WHY ON EARTH WOULD WE OFFER THIS?

Well, for one thing, we need to be able to pay for the production, development and promotion of the CD. And hopefully, when this is all over, we'll have a little left over to feed our families. We know that the more people know about this project, the more CDs will be sold, and that's good for everyone! And the other thing is – and this is really cool – the more young men we can reach with the message of WIN THIS WAR and Fred's book, TACTICS, the better. Young men are bombarded with sexual material everyday and they desperately need help and reinforcement as they battle for sexual purity. This will help!
